Rydal Penrhos is delighted to announce its Assistant Head team for the 2019/20 academic year.
The school confirmed that Andy Thomas and Rhian Williams have been appointed to the role following a successful interview process, and they will add their expertise to an exciting new leadership structure at the senior site.
Mr Thomas will be working closely with joint-Deputy Head Phil Sutton on the school’s teaching and learning and boasts more than a decade of occupying leadership positions within education.
He studied Mathematics at the University of Manchester, gaining both a BSc and PGCE, and has more than 20 years’ experience in a variety of schools.
The popular figure joined Rydal Penrhos as a Mathematics teacher in 2017 and has particular experience in the quality assurance of teaching.
Mrs Williams will focus primarily on Pupil Progress alongside joint-Deputy Head Gabriella Murphy, and the Anglesey resident was awarded a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Wales, Cardiff and a PGCE from Bangor University.
She is currently Head of Mathematics at the School and has played a leading role in some exceptional examination results from the department in recent years.
