Rydal Penrhos team up with St Asaph Cathedral for Chorister workshops
14th May 2019

Aspiring vocalists will get the chance to hone their skills at two special workshops at Rydal Penrhos.

The Prep School will be running a pair of Chorister Workshops in association with St Asaph Cathedral on Thursday, May 23 and June 27 at St John’s Church from 4.15-5pm.

The workshops are open to children aged between seven and nine (Years 2-4) with members of the public in addition to Prep School pupils also welcome to attend.

During the workshops, those in attendance will get the chance to see for themselves what it is like to be part of a Cathedral choir, as well as getting some helpful hints on how to improve their singing ability during some fun-filled activities.

Each workshop will be led by musicians from the choir.

Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “We are very proud to have an association with members of the St Asaph Cathedral, which has seen some of our pupils such as Hannah Davies and Caitriona Searl secure places within its Choir.

“It is a very worthwhile experience and builds confidence a great deal, so we are thrilled to be holding these workshops at Rydal Penrhos and I am sure they are going to be very beneficial for anyone planning to attend.”

Refreshments will be available for those in attendance, and anyone wishing to book can do so by emailing or by calling 01492 530381.
