Year 1 pupils at Bromsgrove Pre-Preparatory School were excited about their visitor on Tuesday 5th February.
Photographer and grandfather of a pupil, Dave Airston, spoke to the children about trekking through the Himalaya and around Everest Base Camp. The Himalaya is the world’s greatest mountain system, containing nine of the world’s ten highest peaks and stretching more than 2,500kms across India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and Pakistan.
The children loved seeing the beautiful photographs and some of the equipment needed to trek in the mountains.
Mrs Cattell, Year 1 Teacher said “we are sure this has inspired the children and everyone is now wondering where the next voyage will take us. Many thanks to Mr Airston for such an interesting talk”.
