This seminar will consider relevant developmental issues; the nature and demands of transition, and the importance of effective induction. This seminar will be of interest to those working in Prep schools as well as those running Boarding Houses in senior schools taking new boarders, or supporting boarders as they progress into sixth form houses and prepare for university.

Speaker: Andrew Lewin, BSA Director of Training and International
Andrew Lewin joined the BSA as Director of Training in August 2017. He manages the Training and International Team within the BSA and delivers the largest CPD programme to boarding staff in the world. Prior to joining the BSA, he lived and worked in boarding schools literally all his life. He has been Head in three boarding schools, as well as Deputy Head, Housemaster, Head of Geography, Master i/c Rugby, Hockey and Cricket, and Director of Development.
He has been an ISI Team Inspector and a Governor of an independent boarding school. He has also served on the local safeguarding children’s boards in North Yorkshire and Cheshire, where he organised and delivered training for both local authorities and independent schools.
