Partnership with parents
March 05, 2019
Why should you attend?
Today, boarding staff can expect parents to be more demanding and engaged with many aspects of the care provided for their children. It is no longer uncommon for parents to expect daily communication, on matters great and small. To ensure this relationship flourishes, it is critical boarding staff establish rules and expectations from the start and thereafter maintain appropriate boundaries and engagement that benefits not just the family, but the whole community.
This seminar will explore what boarding staff need to do to create and maintain the ‘perfect’ partnership with parents.
- Setting expectations
- Effective communication
- Managing conflict
- Components of a perfect partnership.
