We seek a visionary Head of Boarding with an inspirational leadership style to develop and enhance our boarding, PHSE and RSE provision.

Role profile

The Head of Boarding will be responsible for the overall management of our four boarding houses (senior boys and girls (years 7 and 8) and junior boys and girls (years 3 to 6)) and boarding staff; and lead our PHSE and RSE provision across the school.  They will sit on the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Headmaster, and be responsible for strategic vision and delivery of outstanding boarding, PHSE and RSE provision.  They will benefit from comfortable self-contained accommodation on site.  They will teach some PHSE/RSE lessons and be a Houseparent in our junior boarding house – working every other weekend (Saturday afternoon to Monday morning) and 3 weekday evenings.  They will also act as a Deputy DSL and play an important part in the safeguarding of our boarders.  They will play an active role in engaging with parents and prospective parents on all boarding matters.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their experience and expertise in boarding, PHSE, RSE and management; and an unstinting commitment to providing, and ability to deliver, an outstanding boarding experience for our boarders and PHSE and RSE provision across the whole school.
