Teacher of PE

Starting September 2022

This is a superb opportunity for a suitably qualified and passionate teacher of PE to join our team at an exciting time for Shiplake College as we look to expand our PE Department.
With the potential for the right candidate to take on responsibility for leadership of PE from Key Stage 3 to 5 this is a great opportunity for someone wanting to develop their career. You will work across all sports, encouraging all pupils and staff to have a positive attitude to physical activity. The ability to coach and lead a major sport would be beneficial.

The Department offers students AQA GCSE PE and A level PE as well as Level 3 Sport BTEC.

Your drive, ability and infectious enthusiasm will ensure the continued delivery of first class sports provision across the College; creating a positive environment, where all sports and individuals are valued equally. Sport plays a central role in the life of the College with all pupils afforded three timetabled sessions per week across activities such as Rugby, Football, Cricket, Netball and Hockey.

The excellent sports facilities were recently enhanced with the addition of a new Boathouse and Multi-Activity Centre in September 2020.
We offer a competitive salary, opportunities for CPD, TPS pension scheme, BUPA healthcare, access to our gym and sporting facilities and an excellent working environment.

Early applications are welcomed, as the College reserves the right to appoint at any stage during the application process.
