Online Learning Programme for Boarding Schools

BSA and award-winning learning provider EduCare provide two online learning programmes for pastoral staff:

  1. An Induction to Boarding
  2. An Induction to Boarding for International Schools

1. An Induction to Boarding

The purpose of this course is to underline and reinforce the crucial underpinning knowledge and skills that are so necessary to any role in boarding schools and the associated pastoral duties.

The BSA has written the programme which consists of three online learning modules with accompanying questionnaires. There is also a personalised certificate to evidence the learning for those who achieve the programme pass mark.

The three modules contain:

  • Module 1 – The Legal Framework
  • Module 2 – Setting and Maintaining Standards
  • Module 3 – Working Effectively

The programme is designed to complement your own training activities and it can be used as a pre-employment tool, as induction or refresher training for your staff. It has been independently certified for continuing professional development at three hours for the whole programme.

An Induction to Boarding for International Schools, written by experts at the Boarding Schools’ Association, is designed to underline and reinforce the crucial underpinning knowledge and skills that are so necessary to any role in boarding schools and the associated pastoral duties.
